ABOUT THE PROJECT
The First United Church was a very distinct restoration that had to be completed in 2 phases. The first phase split the churches entire building into 3 separate properties. This allowed them to sell off the two outside portions of their building to raise funds to renovate the main portion that they retained. Phase 2 included a new stair case from the basement to left of new kitchens and major renovations to the Narthex area that was highlighted by creating an illuminated Apostle stained glass housing. There was also the addition of a mezzanine structure and new office area. The Mechanical and Electrical systems were also completely replaced and upgraded.
