ABOUT THE PROJECT

This "8,000,000.00 restoration/renovation project was completed in three phases over a period of three years.  Our work as Construction Managers included restoration of masonry, stained glass and slate roofing, extensive structural alterations to 3 buildings, new mechanical and electrical systems throughout and a new commercial kitchen.  In order to minimize the impact on the owner’s ongoing programs the project was completed in stages.  This congested downtown site left very little room for access or storage and  constructing a ‘link” that extended the buildings to within a few feet of the Bloor Street side walk.  Structural work required creative solutions to allow elements such as temporarily supporting the masonry staircase at the south end of Cody Hall to allow access below it to extend the stairs to the basement. In October of 2007, Heritage Toronto presented St. Paul’s Anglican with the Award of Excellence for Architectural Conservation and Craftsmanship.
