Caledon Town Hall

Client: The Town of Caledon
Prime Consultant: Goldsmith Borgal & Company
Construction Date: 2002-2003
Location: Caledon, Ontario
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Caledon Town Hall is a designated building under the Ontario Heritage Act. The building is constructed with solid brick retaining walls on a stone foundation. There was a minimal basement area to accommodate a furnace and change rooms for the Caledon Town Hall players. Due to the planned widening of the highway it was necessary to move the building east several hundred feet. We also constructed a complete basement with new washrooms, change rooms and room for a new heating system. A rated ceiling was installed in the basement and major repairs were completed to the masonry at the exterior walls. The sitework included new walkways and new paving for parking and fire fighting access.
