ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Global Information Resource Centre was finished in 1994, and this new facility provides students with the technology to enable them to develop the new skills needed to compete in an information based global economy. The library and computer labs span the entire second floor. Music and Art facilities, a Career Guidance Centre and additional classrooms are located on the ground level. Exterior walls were made up of concrete block and EFIS. The roof was made up of long span steel trusses exposed on interior with insulated wood sandwiching panels and asphalt shingles. This was a challenging project as it was done in the dead of the winter and reportable the coldest winter in 10 years.
